The Venue
FANHAMS HALL IS A STUNNING JACOBEAN-STYLE WEDDING VENUE, SITUATED IN THE HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTRYSIDE, CLOSE TO WARE. WHATEVER TIME OF YEAR YOU ARE PLANNING YOUR WEDDING FOR, EACH SEASON BRINGS IT’S OWN BEAUTY AT THIS FABULOUS SETTING.
Right from its enchanting entrance to the inviting reception area, discover the magnificent Great Hall and Lakeside Pavilion, both make ideal wedding ceremony rooms. Outside, wander down through the tranquil gardens over its famous red bridge and towards the Japanese Tea House. Look back at the stunning Jacobean building, it’s a treasure-trove of photo opportunities – a photographer’s dream! The Great Hall really is something to behold too, and gives every wedding a feeling of true grandeur.
DEE AND GIGGS’ AUTUMNAL WEDDING
What to say about Dee and Giggs’ STAGGERING autumnal wedding! It was the perfect blend of style and substance! The day had the most timeless charm to it, it could have been from anytime over the last 100 years, but it was the genuine feeling of love on the day that will forever be lodged in my memory.
I photographed the formal group shots the way I always like to, efficiently, as I’m aware that people are there to spend time together and enjoy being around their friends and loved ones! I like to call the formal part of the day ‘light and fluffy’ as I like to inject some fun into the proceedings which makes for glorious natural smiles!
Keeping the vibes relaxed
When I took newlyweds off for a wander around Fanham’s Hall’s stunning grounds, they were a joy to spend time with. Again, I like to make things easy for couples as its potentially a time when they could become self-aware (“am I smiling right?!”). This in turn would show in the finished photograph, but by keeping the vibes RELAXED, couples relax and what I’m left with is photographs that THEY will cherish!
I’M HAPPY TOO!
I was chuffed to bits to hear Dee and Giggs’ heartfelt words in their very kind video review and they mentioned how it was a refreshing change to what they’d experienced at weddings in the past. It always fills me with joy to hear such beautiful words and it’s not something I ever take lightly.
At the end of the day it’s THEIR wedding and not MY photoshoot and the memories are theirs to cherish. I’m acutely aware that while it IS my role to capture the day in all its glory, it’s almost imperative that I blend in with the day.
The photo opportunities just kept getting better and better late into the night.
