Lanwades Hall – arguably the best wedding venue in Suffolk!

LANWADES HALL. THE WEDDING VENUE THAT TRULY IS “A HIDDEN TREASURE”. IT’S SITUATED IN THE SUFFOLK COUNTRYSIDE, A STONE’S THROW FROM NEWMARKET, AND EASILY ACCESSIBLE FROM ESSEX, HERTFORDSHIRE AND LONDON. At Lanwades Hall, civil ceremonies take place in the Morning Room, with picturesque views out to the Sunken Garden and Terrace, or for a more intimate small wedding ceremony you can opt for the enchanting Old Library.

The warm and charming Great Hall is the perfect place to celebrate your Wedding Breakfast. With its dimmed lights and candles, it emanates both romance and drama. Or you may prefer to make the most of the natural light that pours in through the full-height bay windows, which creates a magical dancing effect around this wonderful mansion. As your wedding day transitions from day to night, you and your guests can enjoy the stunning Sunken Garden, as well as the Terrace and Drawing Room.

I am typically known as a Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer, and delightfully this was my first wedding at Lanwades Hall. I did my research and I have to say, it looked rather stunning online…

…BUT “OH WOW!!”

On arrival, I was overcome at just how stunning this venue is in real life. Once you wind your way to the end of its tree-lined sweeping driveway, it’s as if you’ve been transported into another world! This 16th century building is so welcoming. There is a feeling of serenity and beauty which I immediately fell in love with and felt compelled to stay as I felt quite at home!

With that came one of the many true highlights of the day, as I met Charlotte, who was taking care of the day’s proceedings. I’d had the pleasure of working with Charlotte before at another venue, and immediately recalled how the day had flowed effortlessly. I also remembered her amazing vibe and humour. I felt it was going to be another amazing Wedding day. I turned out to be right! 

What a truly stunning day Bethany and Adam’s wedding was!

Bethany and Adam, and their fabulous family and guests made for a joyous occasion. From the initial getting ready shots, right through to the evening reception, there was a real and true feeling of love, fun and togetherness! Here are a few images from their fabulous wedding.
