There are some wedding venues that quietly steal your heart… and Coltsfoot Country Retreat is absolutely one of them. Tucked away in the Hertfordshire countryside, it’s a true jewel of a venue – the sort of place you find and immediately think, “I want to keep this all to myself!”

And here’s a fun twist – Coltsfoot even has alpacas and llamas! They’re such a quirky, delightful addition, and honestly, everyone adores seeing them – it’s one of those little touches that makes a wedding there feel extra special.
It’s just you and your guests – exclusively. The cosy layout even allows some guests to stay overnight, so the celebrations don’t have to end too soon.

The staff? Honestly, they’re some of the best around. Warm, calm, and genuinely invested in every couple’s day, they’re the kind of people who go above and beyond without making a fuss. Every guest is made to feel completely at home, and it shows.
From my very first time photographing at Coltsfoot, I was treated with such kindness. They made me feel part of the family and genuinely cared about every detail. That level of thoughtfulness doesn’t go unnoticed, and I’ve seen it time and again with every couple I’ve worked with there.

And then there’s the food. Oh, the food! Heavenly is an understatement. Whether it’s beautifully presented canapés, a main meal that everyone’s still talking about, or that perfect late-night bite, everything is done with care and flair.
