Albums, the perfect keepsakes, mean the world to us both and whilst we both appreciate each other’s approach to them we very much have our own reasons for loving what we do!
From the start we both wanted to offer THE best value we could for our couples and provide a service and product that we would be thrilled to receive. By putting ourselves in the place of our couples we feel we have achieved this and it’s lovely that our couples – via their testimonials or our 10/10 value for money rating in wedding industry awards – reflect this too.
For me it was imperative that we had the option to design each and every album ourselves, as opposed to using a pre-determined or automated design package. It’s crucial to us that every design is bespoke so that they reflect the day perfectly, but also that the couple can make amendments if they want to, without feeling they need to stick within certain parameters. I do love the tangible feel of the materials, I guess I am just passionate about this!
It takes around 3-5 days to design an album, so yes it would save us time to have the design process outsourced but going back to what I said about our ‘mission statement’, it wouldn’t be anywhere near as good as it could be.
We also wanted the finish, the options and presentation to be of the highest order, again something we feel proud to put our name to!

Humour me for a moment and let’s play Spot The difference: Open fire vs central heating, V8 vs electric car, theatre vs film, lying in the sea vs lying in the bath, a cool summer breeze vs a fan, etcetera. On the face of it, there IS no difference. One makes you warmer, the other a mode of transport, the next is simply people acting out a scene, one feeling water around one’s body and the last something that makes us cooler … but the thing that makes them ALL different is how they make us FEEL.
I see it every time a couple opens their album for the first time. They pour over every page. They let the memories soak in and they hold the album as close to their heart as the moments frozen in time within them. It’s obvious to me that it’s simply not a process of reliving their day but instead a tangible thing.
In a world where hours of every day are taken up looking at a screen, to have an alternative and altogether more special way of remembering a day that will live on forever is a welcome departure! It’s also a beautiful thing to have for generations to come. I love looking back at photographs, even ones kept in a carrier bag and given the option of looking back at my nan’s wedding in a gorgeous album or downloading a link that says ‘Nan’s wedding pix’, I know how I would rather spend my time! Cup of tea or glass of wine and pop my feet up with a good ‘book’!
