Hello, I’m Julie!
I’m a celebrant for all occasions, and I absolutely love helping people celebrate life’s special moments. Whether it’s a wedding, vow renewal, naming ceremony, or something entirely unique, I believe every milestone deserves to be marked in a way that feels true to you.
Outside of my celebrant work, I’m a proud mum and grandmother, a keen crafter (there’s always a project on the go!), and a dog lover who enjoys nothing more than a cup of tea and a good chat.

My role as a celebrant is different: I offer you the freedom to create a ceremony that’s as unique and personal as your love story.

The legal paperwork can be taken care of at the register office whenever it suits you – before your big day, afterwards, or not at all if that’s your choice. What matters most is the celebration itself: a heartfelt, joyful, and memorable ceremony crafted and led by me, and enjoyed by you and all your guests.

A Ceremony Anywhere You Like
One of the best things about a celebrant-led wedding is the freedom of location. You’re not restricted to licensed venues.
You can say your vows anywhere that feels perfect for you:
- On a beach at sunset
- Beneath the trees in a woodland glade
- In your back garden surrounded by family
- Inside a cosy village hall, elegant stately home, or even a wide-open field
I’m happy to deliver your ceremony in almost any setting (though you won’t find me skydiving or officiating underwater!). Anywhere in between is just perfect.

A Ceremony Your Way
There are no rules with a celebrant ceremony, it’s all about you. If you’d like a traditional structure, we can do that. If you’d rather embrace something more playful or unconventional, that’s wonderful too!
Want to include music, dancing, or even a singalong? Go for it. Fancy a fancy-dress wedding? Brilliant! We can get your family and friends involved in the ceremony too! You can even have your guests raise a glass during the ceremony – something a registrar simply wouldn’t allow.
Every script I write is completely bespoke, including a short love story about your journey together. It can be formal and heartfelt, or light-hearted and fun, whatever feels right for you.
Symbolic Rituals We Can Include
- Handfasting – literally tying the knot
- Sand blending – two lives becoming one
- Something totally unique – reflecting your story
And if you decide you want to backflip down the aisle, go right ahead! Just don’t expect me to join in… my hips might not forgive me.
Thoughtful and Inclusive
A wedding is about bringing people together, and I make sure everyone feels included. I think about every guest, from elderly relatives to energetic little ones, and anyone who may have additional needs.
From where you’ll stand, to how attendants move, to the rhythm of the aisle walk, everything is carefully choreographed so it flows beautifully and everyone feels part of the moment.
A Personal Journey
Working with couples is the heart of what I do. It all begins with a relaxed chat (usually over a cup of tea!) where I get to know you both, your personalities, your story, and what makes you you.
From there, I provide ideas, inspiration, and guidance, while encouraging you to write vows and promises that come from the heart.
The best compliment I can ever receive is when guests say: “That ceremony was so them!” That’s when I know we’ve captured the magic.

For me, being a celebrant isn’t just about the ceremony itself. It’s about walking the journey with you, supporting your ideas, and celebrating your story every step of the way.
